Seeking others to help create abuse awareness

I am a survivor of child abuse and domestic violence as well a parent of a sexually abused child.

I am developing two books on the topic of abuse. The first book gives you a front row seat to my life. The second is an anthology of personal experiences from men and women from all age brackets over the age of eighteen, from all walks of life.

I am inviting others to read some of my testimony and to ask for your help in my quest to educate those who have not been abused, to offer encouragement to abuse survivors, and to direct those in need to the resources that may be helpful to them.

I am looking for survivors and parents of sexually abused children to add their testimony. This can be done by using a first name or anonymously. And I am asking organizations and authors to add information about their work. I ask authors and organizations to keep in mind that while many may know about you there is as many who do not. It is my hope that you will use my book as a platform to promote your cause.

For those helping, they will receive a free email book which includes my own, my daughter’s, and over 1000 testimonies from others.

Below this letter are links that will supply complete details about what I’m doing, the book title, book content, letters from the professionals vouching for my character and who support my endeavor, and below these links are additional links to other articles about I have authored to better acquaint you with me and that will reflect my writing style.

I want to thank you in advance for caring enough to check out what I’m doing and I really hope to hear from you.

My email address is burt222@hotmail.com

Respectfully,
Sherry Clyburn

ABUSE--whether it is physical, verbal or emotional--- is very unacceptable and it should not be tolerated! It is an issue that should be addressed nationwide; this does not affect adults, it affects children as well and if we do not put a stop to this madness it is going to escalate and get out of control. I have personal experience in this for I am a survivor of it all and I do not mind getting the message across. Stiffer penalties should be enforced----no amount of counseling will do because the abusers are monsters that cannot be cured. Why do they abuse? because they wanted to, not because its an illness. We need to stop excusing this and treat it for what it is--a crime. Children are the worse victims of it for it starts in childhood---why would anyone hurt a child? Why would anyone hurt a man or a woman? Let us unite to stop the pain inflicted, to stop the abuse; I am on board----how about you?
