How do you start your day?

Developing a daily ritual helps shape my attitude. And my attitude determines what I get in life.
Since I want good I work on my attitude the way people practice sports. It takes time to get good at it. The more I do it, the better I get.
Here's what it looks like.
First, before getting out of bed I visualize what I want for my day. I do a mental run through of my activities and 'see' them going smoothly.
Next, I write about what I'm grateful for, listen to some inspiring music, pray or meditate.
Then I do some yoga to move endorphins through my body or I go for a walk.
I avoid listening to the news or taking any phone calls first thing in the morning. I also go through my entire day with that visual image of what I desire to accomplish.

I like to wake up an hour before everyone and either exercise or sit and watch TV, read emails, check favorite websites, read a bit and have my cup of coffee. It is a nice peaceful hour to myself before the little ones wake up!

I sit up in my bed with my hands resting in my lap and I meditate and give thanks for a new life. I feel that every day given is a chance at new life. I then reach for my cell phone text my daughter words of spiritual encouragement to mediatate on throughout her day. I get out of bed do some stretching head for the shower and play out in my head how I'm going to handle staying in positive mode while at work. On my way to work I say the prayer of protection, then I let go.

Great reminder to activate your positive energy first thing in the morning. I too am very conscious of how I start my day. I begin with heartfelt gratitude; then do a meditative technique I learned through Healing Touch Therapy. Oftentimes I look at myself in the mirror and tell myself, "I love you." Though negative energies challenge me, I am infused with loving light. Yes there are those times when I fall off the proverbial horse, but I just brush myself off, forgive myself, and hop back on. Namaste.
