So many people I've talked too said they want to make money at home. Then when I tell them you have to work more then 5 hours a week and invest at least 50.00 a month to keep up your business they say noway.
Too tell you the truth Business is an Investment. No matter if your in Real Estate or Hourly work.
You have to invest your Time Money, and transportation to get too and fro and Advertising.
In my business I put in about 5 hours a day I don't think that is much. Where as when I was a Recruiter 10 hours a day.
So if you really want to work at home
To Succeed invest and time.

Hi Ladies, I have to agree with you ladies. Working from home has been high on my lists of things to achieve. Being a single mother it would hurt my heart to drop my kids off at daycare everyday. I've always had a "Plan B" to make ends meet. After 15 years in corporate America, my position was elimiated and working from home has become my Plan A. If you take the time to research the opportunity before jumping in, then I feel you will get the most satisfation out of it. It becomes less like work. It also helps if you like and believe in the products. Also look at you "Why"; Why you want to stay home and why you want to start a at home business. But you do have to put in the WORK! Well !! I would like to share my business experience here. I'm doing reseller business for the past three years. It is very simple to start from home.It doesn't requires any technical skills to do this business. It is one of the major advantage in reseller business. I got a reseller account from one of the provider Goresellers.com and sold hosting plans, online storage and more services through it . Now, i'm earning 200 dollars per month.

One of the best ways I have found, to separate the scams from the legitimate work at home opportunities is to ask yourself whether the person trying to recruit you likely makes his/her income by recruiting or by actually running the business under question. In other words, does the recruiter just make money by collecting the fee it costs to join the organization or by running that organization's business. I have observed that, in most cases, people who market work-at-home opportunities usually make money by collecting those initial "induction" fees, and not by running the actual business. It is so hard to determine the work at home scams from legitimate ones. Most legit ones do not have you give money to them in order to work, from what I hear. It is great to hear your stories of making your own work at home jobs.

Braveheart community, There are thousands of people across the US googling home based businesses. In an economy that is trying to work its way back to the top, people are and in my opinion shoud be looking for an opportunity and not just a job. I agree with most of what I've read here. Yes, investment of time, energy, and money is always involved, but what do you get for that? I think one of the best ways to approach working from home is to start where you are.....with what you have! I am a former nurse and Gulf War Veteran who found myself unexpectedly leaving my career to stay at home with a preemie baby girl born 4 months early. She is a miracle as are all the rest of my children , one stillborn but brought back, one missing organs at birth but is a honor roll junior ! Through the years I have tried many work at home ideas and none of them really worked out , although I think if I weren't so afraid of selling I probably would have done better During all this time I had a hobby that I absolutely adored and was good at ....jewelry design. Recently I did what I am suggesting to you , I evaluated what my talents were and what resources I had at my disposal. I found that instead of trying to " make something work " why not see if there was some niche that I could fill , some service that I could offer , some information that I could share that would be valuable to someone else.....and build a business from THAT . I see some of you rolling your eyes Everyone has knowlege or talents and skills that others don't possess. It is these valuable skills and talents that someone would pay for !
So taking my own advise, I have started my own website Heavenly-Gems.com to sell my own creations and to do custom designs. I do everything from writing my own articles, making the jewelry , taking the photos etc. I have helped my two young girls age 10 and 8 start their own blog to sell their own handmade jewelry. I hope this helps to answer the question Can You Really Work From Home ?

So many wonderful ideas from so many talented women. With the job market the way it is right now, if you're looking for work, I'm totally thinking that working from home is a very real alternative.
I've done research on a number of things women can do from home to make money - I mean detailed research. From becoming a well-paid wedding singer to learning about day trading and becoming good at it.

I believe you can it is really getting the right people to hear you. It is all in good time though it seems these days as there is so much information out there.
I have a passion to learn about essential oils as I believe in their properties and the healing that can be obtained. Hi All, This is my first time in a discussion. There is a lot of info on this board. It sounds like a lot of us have quite a few business opportunities. I think you can make money from home, I agree with someone who said it is a commitment and investment in yourself. You also have to find something you are passionate about, that way you will stay motivated, and it will seem more fun when starting out and going thru the hard times. Working from home is high on my list of personal priorities and I've done that pretty much since 1993. There were lean years and there were plump, juicy years. Right now, I'm somewhere in the middle and tweaking my reality to bring the juicy back! I'm a metaphysical sorta being, if you can't tell from my user name, and the challenge has been to keep reminding myself that it isn't about doing. We all are taught to work hard, or harder, and struggle and save and build and blah, blah, blah. Not saying those steps are not important at certain points of evolution of the dream; just saying hard work is not a guarantee and in my reality, as often derails the dream as creates an opening for it. Following the joy, the bliss, what ignites passion and fire and fun in me .... when I do this, I notice that money flies in. Those were the juicy years I spoke of earlier - when I really wasn't focused on the money at all. I was living from a space of what inspired me. Thanks for this post. I agree that making money from home takes time and effort. I started an online business when I was laid off from my job. It has taken a tremendous amount of work to get the web site going and optimized. I'm starting to get some traffic now.
I think everyone has to find their own combination of factors that lead to their success. Something that works for one person or a certain type of business may not be the best way for someone else. You have to try different methods, and see what works for you.

Thank-You Samsara! I agree with what you said about following your soul or spirit purpose. I too am trying to get a Metaphysical business started, and already feel like I'm trying to force the work.
